  3. i remember asking the teachers what happened and no one would tell anyone. probably to prevent scares. one teacher, though i cant recall who, put the cnn on and it showed a live video of what was happening. when the towers fell i remember watching a massive cloud of dust overtake all of these people watching. i also remember watching people jumping out of the windows of the wtc.

  5. There are a couple things I remember; like a lot of my friends got picked by their parents, and we sat and watched the news of what was going on on TV. I didn't comprehend a lot though, cause I thought it was kind of like a video game.

  6. I was in third grade 9-11-01. I don't remember much except that I had no idea what was going on. I was with two bestfriends and I didn't care what difference it made if I stayed longer with them or not. i was having fun.
My mom remembers watching the news and thinking it was a movie. she realized the WTC really was burning down, after she watched Flight 93 crash in Pennsylvania on the news.
I don't really remember my mom talking to me about anything that happened because we didn't know anyone from New York or the Pentagon. So it never really impacted my family any.

  16. I was in second grade, but i'm not sure what class I was in. I remember my mom getting me and my sister both out of school and I kept asking her what was going on but she just kept telling me we'd talk about it at home. Once we finally got home and my father got there we all sat down and they told us what was going on. My whole family talked about it for weeks.

  18. Ah, Its hard to remember. I do remember a lot of being scared. I myself really didnt think much about it. The teacher let us watch the news, just watch all of it and i didnt understand a thing that was going on! I just watched in mild amazement, thinking maybe it was a dream, some action movie, or all a big joke. It was all so weird... I remember going through the rest of the day without really thinking too much on it.

  19. I remember I was in second grade, Mrs. Yoder's class and she had the television on that morning when all of a sudden, we heard something about the World Trade Centers being hit by two hijacked planes. We then dropped what we were doing and just sat there and watched everything that was happening. Everyone began panicking and worrying that the school was going to be hit next by planes, some of the other students were even crying. The second my dad heard about the WTCs getting hit over the radio, he left work and came to school and got me. When I got home my mom just got back from a doctors and was all confused as to why I was home from school so early because she had no idea about what was happening until my dad turned on the news and it was flashing across the televsion. My moms face was so shocked and it was just so unbelievable. I honestly had no idea what was going on so I remember asking tons of questions, and started being afraid of planes. I have a very vivid memory of that horrible day.
