The video discussed many ways in which the internet has changed personal relationships.
There was Bubbe, the 83 year old Jewish Grandma with the online cooking show, and the online gaming friendships and romances that have been created by World of Warcraft. The video also discussed how the internet and use of digital media has changed even the family structure in many homes.
I belive technology has changed a lot over the past few years it is a way of keeping in touch with friends and relitives, you can also use tech nology to keep up with whats going on in the world and nation.
ReplyDeleteonline today you can find a new bestfriend, the person you will be with for the rest of your life and advise on anything you want. i do not think that people could actually fall in love on one of those dating websites. you always see on tv how those people are always acting so happy but can you really trust that? you never know those could be actors acting all happy on camera and then when the camera is off they literally hate each other. i do think though that the computer is good for finding friendships but also bad because you literally do not know that person they could be a stalker or 20 years older then what they say and you are believeing every lie they are giving you.
ReplyDeleteI think that technology is changing friendship, parenting and love by making us communicate better. i think that because many shy people wouldent just walk up to someone they dont know and say hi. i think it is easier to do that online because you are always interacting with people every where you go online.
ReplyDeletein response to anthony i would have to disagree beacuse i am a very shy person when it comes to guys but u dont see me using an online dating site i go up to the guy and talk to them even though i am a nervous wreck will doi ng it. ya even though it might be easier to to interact with them you still do not know them they could be a kreper, stalker or a 40 year old man just looking for a young girl. so i do not think that internet is good for dating sites!
ReplyDeleteI think the internet is very useful. Bubbe holds a cooking show and also she wants people to rely on her. She had said she wants to be the grandma that some kids never had. In the family structure that should be a different. As a family you should spend the time together, you’re at work and the kids are at school being at home not using the technology to give you a chance to vent and see what’s going on with your kids and their life.

ReplyDeleteTechnology has change love in a lot of ways over the years. You got people that never met in real life, and they are getting married after like one date. Also parents can get on websites like facebook and see what thier kids have been posting or what they are writing to others. So technology has changed a lot in the world.
