McGwire Admits to Steroid Use

This week Mark McGwire was the latest former major league star to admit to using steroids during his time in the Majors.

Read this article, in which former major leaguer Doug Glanville tells what it was like to play against Mark McGwire, and what he thinks about his admission of steroid use.

Does this admission change your opinion of McGwire?  Have all the admissions of steroid use in baseball changed your opinion of the sport?  Does McGwire (or any other admitted steroid user) deserve a place in the baseball Hall of Fame or should they be banned?  Share your opinion in the comment section.

  1. i liked mark he was an all around good player. there are probably people who take steroids who havent even came out about it thats just the way things are. well steroids eventually fade away after awhile they still have to lift to keep there muscles how they want them so yes i think they could still be in the hall of fame.

  2. I don't think that you should be able to be in a sport that high because it's not fair to the other people that are in that sport that don't take steriods. There are many other ways to get stronger...but using steriods is definetly not the way. Especially the side effect of the drug can be horrible. Your attitude can become more impatient to things and you can start to have a very short temper. It may end up hurting you by taking the drug.

  4. I think that he should still be inducted into the hall of fame because he is NOT famous for using steroids. Hes famous for being one of the top compeditors in his sport. why would we remove him of this honor because he did something that isnt our business?

  6. personaly, I find that everybody already knew that he used steroids.and the are makeing a big deal out of something that a large ammount of people already knew. plus digging into the story saying all of the things that he did while useing steroids is not needed. They need to leave him alone so he can sit in remorse of his desiciions. what the MLB ossociation needsto do is try and let thing s settle down before they make thier decicion of weather or not he should be admitted into the baseball hall of fame. it is my belife that he should not be admitted into the hall, but at least be mentioned for his achievements such as stats and season overalls.

  7. i dont really know who he is so it doesnt change the way i think of it. i dont really like watching baseall i just like to play it. it is their life and if they want to ruin it with putting steroids into their body becuase they think it will make them better go right ahead.but i do not think they should be put in the baseball hall of fame because they did not get there by talent just by stuff they put in their body that they thought would make them better. i do think it is stupid to use steroids because they dont make u better they just makee you bigger and make you look stupid because everybody knows you cant get that big just by workinbg out

  9. My opinion on McGuire doesnt change. There are alot of MLB players who use steriods.I think Mark made a tremendouse approch in the MLB and was one of the greateast players.
My opinion doesnt change about the sport just because alot of players use steriods. I also still think they should be in the hall of fame because some of these steriod users did make what the MLB is today.

  10. Yeah it did I dont like how he lied about doing steroids first off, it makes you look weak if you cant play the correct way, and has to use drugs to make you better. No it dont make a difference about the sport, I bet someone in every sport does it.Its not like the sport makes them take it!Its their choice. No anyone who uses drugs should not be allowed into the Hall of Fame because they dont play right. Plus they are not playing on their own they are using a drug that is making them better and stronger.
